iCare Foundation team has always make education for the less privileged a priority. We visited the Mampong Nkwanta basic M/A school and made some donations to them. Upon reaching the school, we were welcomed by the administrative board led by Mrs Beatrice Preprah the headmistress, Mr Clement Goha the PTA chairman and Mr Kwesi Akyea his assistant.
The total enrollment of the school is 210 and has a nursery, KG and primary school. The school has a pot hole play ground which has no swings and other amusement materials. In meeting with the headmistress, PTA board and the community leaders, the Odikuro Nana Yaw stated that he wants our benevolent exercise to be periodic and as Oliver Twist would always ask for more, he wants us to come back and build them a school library and a toilet facility.
Mr Clement Goha who is the PTA chairman also appealed to iCare Foundation to also sponsor some of the less privileged students with difficulties in paying their fees with scholarship packages.
The entire school was refreshed and engaged in our art and creativity segment. The students and teachers’ session, and teachers and school management session.
We much appreciate the selfless dedication of the Kaga Foundation for the support they gave our team. Ms Abigail Agyeiwaa who is the president of the above mentioned organization was also supported by Mr. Stephen Bakoue and Ms Comfort.
