THE PAD PROJECT ’19 (2nd Edition)
TFX AFRICA INTERNATIONAL in collaboration with KINDGOM TREE FOUNDATION, UK and DAAVI GA, GHANA stormed the community school of Wuxor in Akatsi District in the Volta Region of Ghana to donate 1000pcs of sanitary napkins to students and village folks.
Every student was entreated to 6 packs of sanitary napkin which should last approximately 6 months. Students were also given medications to subdue menstrual cramps.
Female students, teachers and parents were educated on genital and reproductive health.
Present at the program was the Community Chief, Torgbui Awukudiagbo II, Emmanuel Asiwu – Former Assemblyman, Andreas Lanyo – Openion leader, Daniel Adabla -Headteacher, Klu George Maclean -Ass.Head.
Parents and beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude to the organization and partners for the collaborative effort to clamp down traucy and difficulties in acquiring a pad in the time of the month.
Chris Phaphali, President of TFX DAAVI GA and Mrs Rejoice Dakpo – Project Director and president of Kingdom Tree Foundation UK also stated emphatically in their speech respectively that the organization is poised to support girl child education and reproductive health throughout the country and diaspora.
Public education was led by Mrs Esinam Norvor (Gbemu), a women empowerment advocate and a teacher at the Wuxor Community School.
